CJRLC Technology Group - January 13, 2010 Meeting - Google Wave

The next meeting of the CJRLC Technology Group will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Hamilton Township Public Library. The meeting will run from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Have you ever wondered what email would look like if it were invented now, instead of 40 years ago?  If email were invented now it would be called Google Wave. Wave is an exciting new communications platform that combines the functionality of email, instant messaging, blogs and wikis into a seemless interface. Bob Keith, Technologist at the New Jersey State Library will take you on a tour of Google Wave with a live demonstration of what it can do. Right now access to Google Wave is by invite only but if you attend the talk Bob will hand out invites to as many people as he can before they're all gone.

We have our finger on the pulse of current technology! CJRLC Technology Group meetings are free and open to all attendees. Meet and network with other like-minded librarians from around the region. Bring your new tech ideas, discoveries and tips to share with other group members.

Directions to the Hamilton Township Public Library can be found here. We hope you will join us for the first meeting of 2010.

From all of us at the CJRLC Tech Group, our best wishes for a happy yuletide season!
